Our Story
In Indian homes, celebrations begin with a Toran — a mango-leaf garland at the doorway, welcoming joy, blessings, and new beginnings. Torana Studio was born from that very feeling of home.
Two lifelong friends, one in India and the other in the United States, brought together by a shared love for Indian heritage, traditional artistry, and meaningful celebrations. We wanted to bring a little piece of our roots into homes everywhere.
At Torana Studio, we thoughtfully design and curate bespoke decor inspired by India's rich cultural traditions. Our lightweight, eco-conscious, easy-to-assemble creations blend timeless artistry with modern design, allowing families anywhere in the world to bring their celebrations to life themselves and make every milestone special.
Just like the Toran that welcomes joy at the doorway, we hope every Torana creation marks the beginning of something beautiful.
Where every celebration begins.

FAQ
Torana Studio opens its store around Diwali 2026, in phases. People on the founding list get access first, usually a week or two before anyone else.
Shipping launches in India first. Shipping to the United States is coming soon. Kits are flat-packed to keep shipping light and the carbon footprint low.
Each kit contains a printed cloth backdrop, a tool-free hanging system, the styling props for that theme, and a printed step-by-step setup guide. Nothing else needs to be bought and no drilling is required.
Yes. The hanging system works on standard walls and stands without nails, ladders or professional help, and takes a few minutes. If you can hang a curtain, you can set up the backdrop.
Statement backdrops and reusable props arrive a few days before your event and go back afterwards using a prepaid return label. Everything is professionally cleaned between homes.
Yes. The cloth is washable and the prop systems are modular, so a single kit can be used for a baby shower in spring and Diwali in autumn.
A Toran, or Torana, is the mango-leaf garland tied across a doorway in Indian homes. It is the first decoration of any celebration and marks the threshold where an ordinary space becomes festive. The studio takes its name and its tagline, "where every celebration begins", from that tradition.
